THIS IS MENACE To Play Special Gig In London

September 29, 2005

The 15-headed hydra known as THIS IS MENACE, featuring a "who's who" of underground vocalists from HUNDRED REASONS, SIKTH, THERAPY?, CARCASS, AMEN, FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND, PITCHSHIFTER, EARTHTONE9 and the HIDING PLACE, are set to play a monumental gig at London's Mean Fiddler on December 18.

Originally set for September, this show was rescheduled to December 18 when bassist and co-founder of the "Fight Club"-inspired, levianthonic collaborative, Mark Clayden, collapsed with breathing difficulties in his home town of Nottingham. All original tickets are valid for the new date.

Support for the show is provided by hardcore newcomers THE GHOST OF A THOUSAND, post-HUNDRED REASONS mob THE LUCKY 9 and the denizens of U.K. ragga-metal, SKINDRED.

Says Mark Clayden (bass): "We're so excited to take THIS IS MENACE live. Apart from the show being filmed for a DVD, we'll have 12 different vocalists representing the U.K. underground along with some other special guests and surprises: Julia (MILLION DEAD),Paul (MURDER ONE),Ben (HONDO MCCLEAN) and more. THIS IS MENACE is a reinvention of the band format. This is a noise-collective. 15 heads are better than oneā€¦"

THIS IS MENACE will be holding a prize draw competition on the night of the show to win your own gravestone. Your name and date of birth along with a few choice words from THIS IS MENACE will be carved into a marble gravestone delivered to your door. The date of your death will be left blank for when the time comes. Your ticket is your draw number.
